Impregnation process deploys chemically stable liquids to porous surfaces (like casting) or objects with inherent voids (like motor coils) to prevent accumulation of undesired elements like dust, dirt, chemicals or water. At NACH we have expertise to develop systems for distinct application say from metal impregnation, porosity sealing, impregnation of motor stators and wound rotors, systems for resin cast transformers and like.
At NACH we have developed systems for varnish, resins and epoxy for impregnation. All these chemicals demand different process setups for efficient impregnation results. Additionally impregnation system are themselves classified upon the type like flood impregnation system, dip impregnation system, vacuum impregnation system, vacuum pressure impregnation system, hot roll dip impregnation, trickle impregnation etc. Each type of impregnation system has its own advantage and limitations and are used as per area of applications and its criticality over the product. Say a vacuum pressure impregnation plant is used to enhance the electrical properties of the motor/generator coil to result in long life in rugged conditions.
We have supplied impregnation plants that are carefully designed to meet the end user requirements from the impregnation system. Impregnation systems are process driven and processes incorporated in the impregnation equipments are crucial to give required results. Often the processes are described by the resin or varnish manufacturers and constraints are posed by the end user. NACH is competent to deliver the required impregnation systems with constraints.
We have developed tank size of 3.5 mtrs and exported to Weir Engineering Services in Dubai for dip impregnation of HT motors that use specialized varnishes. The varnish dip impregnation tank was supplied with facility for stirring, varnish vapour extraction filling etc. We have also supplied vacuum pressure impregnation system for epoxy supplied by HUNTSMAN, vix. ARADUR and ARALDITE. The system has given outstanding results. One of the main criteria that the customer looks in the vacuum pressure impregnation or for that sake any of the impregnation equipment, is less stagnation and cleanliness with ease of operation. NACH systems are adept with ease of access, less stagnation of the varnish/resins and systems are easy to maintain. Adept design of the systems have lead to negligible contamination of the vacuum pumps with varnish/resin vapours.
NACH has also supplied systems that are suitable to resins and varnishes manufactured by Altantas Beck, VON Roll, Vantico. All the systems that were developed were inline with the resin/varnish OEM and were designed to suit the customer factory conditions.
