Use of SS core Filters, with PP/NYLON windings

Filter candles in filter machines are subjected to temperature of 80 deg to 90 deg C. These temperatures

tend to weaken the inter winding bonds of the filter element. The condition is worsen if core of the filter

element is of plastic/polypropelene (PP), as these filter elements also lead to deformation fter 75 deg C

temperature. However, PP yarn or nylon yarn do not absorb moisture and are better recommended for

wet applications. Hence a blend of SS core with PP yarn/Nylon yarn ensues good results in filtration.
